F&A provides construction management and inspection services to local agencies during both the design and construction phases. In the design phase, we provide constructability reviews, coordination, and scheduling and our team has a record of proactively identifying and resolving potential challenges prior to construction. During construction, we provide general construction management and inspection and offer quick, effective solutions when changes arise in the field. We also serve as the owner’s representative in the field.
F&A’s construction management team has experience in both the public and private sectors, and backgrounds range from former civil roadway and building inspectors to construction engineers for private contractors.
Overall Construction Management: F&A is responsible to the owner and acts in the client’s interests at every stage of the construction project.
Office Engineering: Pre-construction documentation setup, maintenance of construction documents, change order management, material tracking, progress reports, tracking quantities, progress payment and approval process, RFI coordination, establishment of verification and tracking systems, and field inspection.
Inspection: Civil and structural inspection of rail, roadway, and bridge construction.
Constructability Reviews and Value Engineering: Review of record drawings prior to construction to identify potential constructability issues, as well as possible dispute issues. Value engineering, cost/benefit analysis and best value comparisons to help reduce costs, stay within the predetermined budget, and prevent scope creep.
