Van Lierop Park Master Plan and Phase 1 Design

Puyallup, WA

Overview

Land Survey, Drone Photogrammetry

The City of Puyallup created a Master Plan to determine recreational opportunities best suited for the park’s location and community. The scope of this project included identifying the specific components of the park, developing a phasing plan for design and construction, and researching funding opportunities. Furtado was responsible for survey and mapping of all the necessary surface features and utilities, including existing maintenance holes and drainage structures. Detailed basemaps and digital terrain models (DTM) were prepared using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Furtado provided aerial photogrammetry services to map the park using a high-definition drone to scan the area and capture additional details used to supplement basemaps and DTM. In addition, Furtado prepared Parcel Maps and legal descriptions for the acquisition of additional Right of Way.
