Overview
The Tacoma Link Expansion project includes the construction of 2.4 miles of Light Rail Transit service with six new stations, one relocated station, four Traction Power Substation sites and the expansion of the existing Operations and Maintenance facility.
Construction Management, Land Survey
As part of the support services team, Furtado is providing construction management support and Survey QV services for this project. Furtado led asset management database development for the project. This included working with the Contractors to obtain information on key elements of the project for the operation and maintenance of the facility. Our team provided input to RFIs (Request for Information) and submittals, coordinated with Sound Transit design staff, monitored delays and construction change orders, and supported the Office Engineer and Resident Engineer as required.
Right-of-Way Engineering
Furtado provided horizontal and vertical geometric alignment verification, structure, utility layout and clearance verification, along with Right-of-Way and easement verifications.
