NW Region I-90 Fish Passage GEC

To allow salmon and steelhead at all life stages to access spawning and rearing habitats, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is continually working to correct hundreds of fish barriers on state highways, restoring access to more than one thousand miles of fish habitat. This ultimately benefits the region’s landscape and economy. F&A’s team is focused on the fish passages of Sunset Creek, Lewis Creek, West Village Park Creek, Schneider Creek and Tibbetts Creek between Bellevue and Issaquah. F&A is providing surveying services and will create basemaps of the culverts and the surrounding existing conditions of impacted creeks for use by the design team in development of the Preliminary Hydraulic Design (PHD). F&A is compiling existing GIS and utility data from WSDOT, King County, and nearby cities with data of topographic features and utilities systems through LiDAR scanning and conventional methods to create AutoCAD 2D and 3D basemaps for the team to design from.
